Session 7: Pharmaceutical Approaches to Back Pain
Depending on the severity of an injury, the use of medication is warranted to alleviate pain and suffering. While medication such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), painkillers, and muscle relaxants are deemed ideal within the medical industry for short-term pain relief, prolonged use of such medicines can cause more health problems when misused, overused, and abused. In this session, Dr. Tiffany T. Butler discusses how different healthcare providers manage and treat neck and back pain.
