Your Financial Obligation
Sometimes, the Doctor will want to provide you with services that are not covered by your insurance carrier (e.g. non-covered services). If a service is not covered by your insurance carrier, you will be asked to pay for the service. In most cases, payments are due at the time services are rendered, unless other arrangements have been made.
Our ability to remain open and provide affordable chiropractic and rehabilitation services to the community greatly depends on our ability to collect all necessary fees we are required to charge. We are not a free-clinic and we must collect from all patients in order to continue to provide services to the community. We bill patients according to the services rendered to the patient at the time of the visit. The patient is always responsible for payment of services rendered to them, regardless if covered by an insurance carrier or not. Unwillingness to pay for services is a cause to deny services in the future. We will be happy to assist any patient with an outstanding balance with affordable payment options, if necessary.
Paying Your Bill
We accept the following forms of payment:
- Major Credit Cards
- Money Order
If you use a third-party payor (e.g. insurance carrier), we will file a claim at the time of your visit. If your claim is denied we will submit an appeal. If your claim is denied a second time, you will be responsible for all balances on your account. Remember, the patient is always responsible for payment of services rendered to them, regardless if covered or paid by the insurance carrier or not.
If you pay your bill by check or money order, write your account number in the note/memo section. Payment by check or money order can be made in the office during normal business hours or mailed to Harmonious Living Chiropractic: Fitness & Wellness Center, 603 7th Street, Unit 301, Laurel, Maryland 20707. Make all checks and money orders payable: to Harmonious Living Chiropractic.

Health Insurance – Provider Participation
Our provider participates in most major health insurance carriers’ plans in the area. The following list serves as a guide as to the current status of plans we participate in and is subject to change. Please check with your health insurance carrier to determine if you have in-network and/or out-of-network chiropractic benefits prior to scheduling an appointment at our office(s).

- Cigna: Yes! We are an In-Network provider with all plans of Cigna.

*Our Doctor is currently an out-of-network provider for this health insurance carrier. Call your health insurance carrier members hotline to determine if you have out-of-network chiropractic benefits; and prior to scheduling an appointment at our office. When choosing an out-of-network doctor, please understand that you will be billed our normal rate for services.
No insurance? No Problem!
We understand that healthcare services can be costly, despite having health insurance, some insurance plans do not cover chiropractic care. Therefore, we offer many payment options so that everyone, including the uninsured, and self-pay patients, so they can receive chiropractic and rehabilitation services they need to improve their functional health. The great part is, we have a plan that works with any budget!
