Who do you tell when your neck, back, or joint pain is getting worse? What to do if you are under care, and you experience symptoms (or pain) that you didn’t have before? In the world of healthcare, doctor-patient communication is paramount. Knowing when to talk with a doctor is essential to your healthcare experience and patient outcomes.

If you are under chiropractic care, and your symptoms worsen: let your chiropractor know. Oftentimes, you don’t have to schedule an appointment, you can simply contact our chiropractic office and speak with the chiropractor. Your chiropractor will make modifications in your care and treatment and/or refer you to a specialist, depending on the severity and/or type of symptoms you are experiencing.

If your symptoms change: The changing of symptoms may not always indicate that things are getting worse in fact, it can be the opposite. In the process of healing and recovery, patients may often experience a worsening of symptoms before they get better. Being under the direct care of a healthcare provider is essential to ensure that your symptoms are monitored, and intervention can be provided when deemed necessary.

Call us at 410-513-9149 or request an appointment online if you want to experience the benefits of chiropractic care.
